Oracle Corp. (NYSE:ORCL.NYSE) is about to unveil arange of blockchain software, join a growing list of companies offering products using distributed ledger technology. Bloomberg reports that California-based Oracle is about to reveal a new blockchain-powered service platform and multiple related applications next month.

Oracle’s President of Product Development Thomas Kurian said that one of the company’s clients is Banco de Chile, who plan to use the software to track inter-bank transactions. The Nigerian government also plans to benefit from decentralized ledger technology to monitor customs and imports.Oracle’s new products will also be offered to pharmaceutical companies as for tracking batches of medicine.

Many other software companies, such as IBM and Amazon, have rushed to benefit from blockchain technology on the heels of the cryptocurrency boom, seeking safer, faster and decentralized processes.
