Blockchain, the world's biggest provider of digital wallets, announcedits new San Francisco office after the company acquired early-stage app-building startup Tsukemen.

The new office will be headed by Thianh Lu, formerly the CEO and co-founder of Tsukemen, and Blockchain’s new Head of Design. Fred Cheng, the founder of Simperium and creator of Simplenote, will lead engineering in the new office of the company. He will be assisted in software building by Chris Arriola.

According to Peter Smith, CEO and Co-Founder of Blockchain, the opening of West Coast office is part of a large-scale expansion of operations and it will help the company to “continue building best-in-class products”.

“It is rare to find such diverse and remarkable talent within a single team, and I feel lucky to have added the creative individuals behind Tsukemen to Blockchain,” – he said.

The company has also recently brought aboard Breanne Madigan, formerly of Goldman Sachs, as their new Head of Institutional Sales and Strategy.
