Overstock.com’s (NASDAQ: OSTK) blockchain subsidiary tZero has announced the launch of a prototype of its planned security token trading software.
The software is expected to be ready to trade security tokens in May, the company said in a statement.
“We’re making history and we thank everyone involved in creating this new digital ledger platform. We also want to thank our customers; we’re doing this together,” said tZERO president Joe Cammarata.
tZERO has released the demo video for the new platform and requests users to review it and give feedback.
The company said tZERO's Security Token Front-End is designed to "trade security tokens in an easy, compliant, and user-friendly manner."
tZERO’s private offering for the tZERO security token commenced December 2017. On March 1, 2018, tZERO announced that it had extended the security offering until May 14, 2018.
tZERO will enter into Simple Agreements for Equity (SAFEs) only with accredited investors pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the Offering Memorandum, dated March 1, 2018, for the token sale.
