An ICO for the The Royal Coin (symbol: “ROYL”) - the first ever Royal themed cryptocurrency launched today is a gift to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in celebration of their highly-anticipated wedding on May 19, 2018, Daily Express reported.

The ICO is managed by Crown & Country Magazine. Proceeds raised in the ICO will be divided among three charities approved by Kensington Palace, Sentebale, The Invictus Games, and The Royal Foundation.

These charities have been chosen as ones close to Prince Harry’s heart. The coin has been officially approved by The British Monarchist Society and Foundation.

The ICO has been planned in conjunction with The ICO Rocket, an underwriting service trusted by thousands to vet new ICOs.

“The Royal Coin is the first ever of its kind. It not only celebrates a marriage but also channels cryptocurrency toward three noble causes,” said founder of The ICO Rocket Shahar Namer.

“As exclusive advisors to the coin, we are delighted for its launch,” he added.

Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills, editor-in-chief of the magazine who came up with the idea, said:

"I wanted to create a new and modern way for the people of the world to feel a part of the Royal Wedding.”

The total supply of ROYL is 50 million. The crowdsale launches April 2, 2018 and will conclude May 31, 2018 and will appear on public exchanges as of June 1, 2018. The vale of 500 ROYL is equal to 1 ETH.
