The price of Bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) broke through the $11,000 mark on Monday for the first time since January. The cryptocurrency has gained 4,11% over the past 24 hours to $11,019, according to CoinMarketCap.com.
Bitcoin is up over 80 percent since it bottomed at $5.947.40 on February 6.
Other major cryptocurrencies traded higher, with Ethereum (ETH/USD), the world’s second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, rising 2.33% to $952.
The third largest cryptocurrency Ripple was up around 2.55% to $1.15.
