Bitcoin Bull Tom Lee predicts the digital currrency will reach $25,000 by the end of this year, and $125,000 by 2022, CNBC reported.
"We expect Bitcoin's (EXANTE: Bitcoin) major low to be $9,000, and we would be aggressive buyers around that level," wrote Lee, head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, in a report Thursday.
He sees $9,000 as the biggest buying opportunity in 2018.
Elsewhere on the cryptocurrency market, Tom Lees sees Ethereum (ETH/USD) reach $1,900 by the end of the year.
According to him, Ethereum Classic (ETC/USD) will rise to $60, while NEO will rally to $225 towards the end of 2018.
The also expects increased interest from institutional investors, and user account growth and usage to spur bitcoin's gains.
Lee believes that the theoretical maximum number of Bitcoins that can exist - 21 million probably won’t be mined until 2045 or later given the deceleration of new coins.
