Russian automobile manufacturer UAZ is planning to start accepting cryptocurrencies as payment method for its jeeps very well known as military vehicles across the globe, Coinidol.com reports.

UAZ will accept payments of the BioCoin altcoin, founded by Boris Akimov, owner of the Russian farm cooperative Lavkalavka.

Lavkalavka started to accept Bitcoin (TIKER: BTC.EXANTE) as payment for farm products in its stores, cafes, markets and online store in June 2017.

Akimov encourages the holders of Biocoins, saying that they will be able to use it in multiple ways — to buy cars, farm products or they could simply collect cryptocurrency points, that later can be used to buy a car.

"It turns out very cool: if you have bought farmers products for a year or two and then, if the biocoin price grows, you can actually buy yourself the UAZ car for the accrued points,” he said.
