A a previously unknown company Crypto Media Group is hiring celebrities to promote the launch of Hubii’s ICO, Bitcoin.com reports.

The undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. posted a tweet supporting Hubii Network, a content distribution company, which is planning an ICO.

Hubii with 50 million customers, is looking to raise $50 million through an Ethereum-based (ETH/USD) initial coin offering.

Crypto Media Group’s CEO, Logan Schauer, explained: “Our goal is to take [the ICO market] from this very small industry of cryptocurrency-focused investors and take it to the masses… we want to help the market transition from where it is now—word-of-mouth spreading through the crypto community—and we want to bridge that gap to the mainstream world.”

Crypto Media Group’s business model comprises a network of social media accounts designed to send sponsored celebrity endorsements viral.

This was not the boxer’s first promotional effort. In July Mayweather promoted the ICO of Stox.com, a blockchain prediction company.
