The developers of the Polygon project have just announced the release of the beta version of the zkEVM mainnet will take place on March 27.
According to them, the Ethereum scaling solution uses zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-Rollups) technology, which performs off-chain computation on the second layer of the network to make transactions cheaper and faster.

Polygon claims that zkEVM will be equivalent to EVM, meaning that developers will be able to integrate Ethereum applications into the new network without making significant changes.
It is worth noting that the project has been working on the technology for more than a year. The solution code has passed two external security audits.
