The team of developers of the Polygon network has just reported on the achievements of the project during the first 6 months of the year and talked about their plans for the second half of 2022.
In particular, they have highlighted the number of dApps operating on the network has reached 19,000, that the monthly average number of transactions has amounted to 90 million and that the total number of smart contract creators has exceeded 153,000.

The project has paid out $2 million in rewards and hackathon grants through the Gitcoin platform.
The team launched the Polygon Guilds initiative back in January, aimed at helping members of the ecosystem interact. Under its framework, project creators can join together in thematic groups or guilds.
The project has also created a free online Polygon Academy school and expanded the capabilities of the PolygonDAO.
As far as technological achievements are concerned, the team has pointed to the Polygon ID zero-knowledge proof sovereign identity system, the blockchain load mitigation mechanism Avail as well as the Nightfall, Edge, Supernets and zkEVM solutions.
