Apple might postpone the release of its VR/AR headset for at least a few months as the product is said to be facing issues with overheating, Bloomberg reports, citing sources familiar with the matter. Initially, the Cupertino-based corporation wanted to show the device at the WWDC developer conference in June, with a later release in 2022.

However, it seems that Apple might delay the presentation of the headset towards the end of 2022, with the release in 2023. According to reports, Apple has been working on its own VR/AR headset since 2015. Earlier this month, Bloomberg said Apple would not be focusing on its own metaverse.
Instead, Apple's focus is said to be on a mixed reality headset that is used for communication and entertainment purposes only. It is expected that the headset will be priced at around $3,000.
