Brave, a privacy-oriented web browser, will add support for the Solana blockchain on its desktop and mobile versions in the first half of 2022. The announcement was made at Solana's Breakpoint conference. As part of the partnership, Brave will also default to Solana for cross-chain and Solana native dApps.

Solana Labs CEO, Anatoly Yakovenko, says integration with browsers is "key to helping dApps build the best web experiences." Moreover, the integration will also add support for the Solana DEX aggregator for swaps, based on the Solana blockchain NFTs, sending SPL tokens, and creating accounts.
Based on the Chromium web browser, Brave was released in November 2019. As of October 2021, Brave had 42.1 million active monthly users, 14 million daily active users and a network of more than 1.2 million content creators.
