US-based payment platform Square is apparently hiring crypto engineers and is offering to pay them with Bitcoin, Jack Dorsey, Square and Twitter CEO, published yesterday on his official Twitter account.

According to him, "Square is hiring 3-4 crypto engineers and 1 designer to work full-time on open source contributions to the bitcoin/crypto ecosystem. Work from anywhere, report directly to me, and we can even pay you in bitcoin!"

The decision to pay these potential new employees with Bitcoin has been made as an attempt to "improve the crypto ecosystem", contributing this way to the Bitcoin community.

Dorsey has said that this initiative will not be focused on the company's objectives, but only on trying to improve the crypto ecosystem regardless the company's interests.

Twitter registered record revenues during 2018 thanks to Bitcoin and its app Cash. During the fourth quarter of 2018, the company raised $52 million, 9 more than during the third quarter and 15 more than during the second quarter.
