Main page Opinion, Bitcoin

According to the vice-governor of the Czech Central Bank, Eva Zamrazilova, Bitcoin is not a suitable asset for central bank reserves.

However, according to her, it is important to study it as a global phenomenon, so it is being included in the analysis to broaden the possible investment options.

In a recent interview with the Financial Times, Governor Ales Michl mentioned the possibility of allocating up to 5% of the bank's foreign exchange reserves in Bitcoin, but the bank has since adopted a more cautious approach.

The bank's board has decided to conduct an analysis on expanding its asset base, without specifically mentioning Bitcoin.

Zamrazilova stated the analysis will also explore other asset classes, such as corporate bonds, real estate funds, NASDAQ and technology indexes.
