Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, believes that the United States is one of the "worst places" to launch cryptocurrency projects.

As he said during the Token 2049 conference in Singapore:

"The only country I would not encourage you to start a company right now is in the US."

According to him, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland are jurisdictions with policies that encourage crypto innovation. Ripple's CEO has recommended the US embrace this trend.

Garlinghouse has blamed the current situation on the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as the department is waging a "political war" with the industry.

He has added:

"I think you’re seeing the momentum shift. I think that it used to be that a lot of judges were like: ‘Well, the SEC is always right,’ and they weren’t fighting that [but] I think you’re starting to see the pattern change."
