He has said the number 1 enemy of the crypto is investor Warren Buffett, whom he has called the "sociopathic grandpa from Omaha." It should be noted that he is generally known as the "oracle of Omaha."
The founder of Berkshire Hathaway has repeatedly been skeptical about cryptocurrencies, claiming Bitcoin is "rat poison squared" as well as a gambling tool that produces nothing useful.
In addition to Buffett, Thiel's list includes JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.
Thiel has also criticized central banks, accusing them of slow digital adoption.
Thiel claims the rise in the price of Bitcoin recorded over the past few years signals the impending bankruptcy of central banks and reflects that "we are at the end of the fiat money regime."
