El Salvador's President Believes Bitcoin Will Reach $100,000 by 2022

The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, has said that in 2022 the price of the reference crypto will soar to $100,000.

In addition, he has also predicted that in the future, two more countries will recognize Bitcoin as legal tender, that digital gold will become one of the key issues in the US House of Representatives elections, that the construction of Bitcoin cities will begin and that subscriptions to crypto bonds (Volcano bonds) will exceed their market supply.

Among other things, the president of El Salvador has also promised a "big surprise" at the 2022 Bitcoin conference, which will take place from April 6 to 9 in Miami.

After the legalization of Bitcoin in September, the government of El Salvador acquired 550 BTC through a fund created for the acquisition of the currency. The country then acquired another 150 BTC coinciding with the currency's fall to $45,000.

In October, the country's authorities increased their Bitcoin holdings with another 420 BTC, again taking advantage of the correction in the price of the asset. In November, the state fund acquired 100 BTC. The government of El Salvador also recently acquired 21 BTC to celebrate "the last 21 days of the 21st year of the 21st century."

El Salvador has also started mining cryptos using geothermal volcanic energy. However, some experts have questioned the profitability of mining with volcanic energy.
