According to Federico Goldberg, CEO and co-founder of CryptoCup, "The World Cup is the single biggest sporting event in the world. Over 3 billion people, almost half the world, tunes in. I’ve attended two myself. We wanted to combine that popularity with blockchain technology in order to build something different than an ICO or collectible."
