In 2021, US electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla earned $627 million thanks to its investment in Bitcoin.
According to the company's financial report from last year, Tesla invested around $1.5 billion in the purchase of Bitcoins. During 2021, Tesla sold $128 million worth of Bitcoin and, as of December 31, the value of Bitcoins on the company's balance sheet amounted to as much as $1.99 billion.

As a result, capital investments in digital gold generated a profit of $627 million. The company has reported:
"We will maintain the investment strategy to fulfill the tasks of increasing liquidity and reducing risks. We anticipate buying US Treasury securities, equities and digital assets."
