Musk Sells Another $930 Million in Tesla Shares

Elon Musk, the CEO of electric vehicle maker Tesla, has sold another $930 million worth of company shares. He has sold 934,000 shares at between $980 and $1,028 per share, according to data from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Last November 6, Musk posted a poll on Twitter asking his followers on the social network whether he should sell 10% of his Tesla shares (valued at about $21 billion). Approximately 58% voted in favor.

On November 11, Musk sold $1.1 billion worth of Tesla shares. Musk’s trust also sold more than 3.5 million shares worth more than $3.88 billion. It later emerged that on the same day Musk sold shares for another $687 million.

Musk has said he is selling part of his stake in Tesla in order to meet his tax obligations and that he is following the plan agreed in September.

Since November 8, Musk has sold about 7.23 million shares valued at about $7.83 billion. Some of the shares were sold before the Twitter poll was posted, according to MarketWatch.
