Today, the crypto world was shaken by another major cryptocurrency theft: hackers broke into the Japanese crypto exchange Zaif and stole $60 million from the platform. This is the fifth largest theft in the history of crypto exchanges.


If you look at the statistics, it becomes obvious that hackers prefer Japanese crypto exchanges - they account to 4 out of 10 largest attacks, including the two most high-profile thefts (Coincheck and Mt. Gox). The second most popular platforms among hackers became the South Korean crypto exchanges, as 3 of the 10 largest attacks happened there.
