As of today, about 17 million (more precisely 16 967 450) Bitcoins (Bitcoin) have been mined. This makes 81% of the total number of Bitcoins that can ever be mined. Therefore, there are only 4 million that remain to be mined.
12.5 new Bitcoins are being created every 10 minutes, but the number will be reduced to 6.25 due to the increased complexity of mining.
