Users have stopped searching for “Bitcoin” (Bitcoin) since the digital currency’s manic price surge came to an abrupt end late last year.
The number of searches was highest on December 17, when Bitcoin hit its peak of just under $20,000.
Google Trends data show searches are down by more than 80 percent. The last time so few people were interested, Bitcoin traded near $5,000.
