BitMEX: ICO Projects Will Not Drop Ethereum’s Price

Analysts from BitMEX Research believe that ICO projects can’t affect ethereum’s price as most ICOs have sold their tokens. Analysts found that 222 ICO projects attracted about $5.463 billion and by September 2018 they sold ethereum worth $5.452. ICO accounts still holding about 3.8 million ETH, which is approximately $830 million. Despite the reduction of ethereum’s price by 85% in 2018, the unrealized profit of ICO projects is currently estimated at $93 million.

Leading VC company of South Korea to Launch Blockchain Startup

Korea Investment Partners (KIP), one of the largest venture capital companies in South Korea, has invested in its first blockchain startup, Temco. The company didn’t specify the amount of investment in the project. It is only known that it will be engaged in the development of supply chain management systems for small and medium businesses. On the Temco official website, the project description states that new solutions can be used to track the movement of products from the manufacturer to the ending user by using blockchain.

KIP is known for its investments in the largest enterprises of South Korea, including the search system Naver and the mobile operator Kakao.

David Jevans exclusively spoke to ihodl about ICO tokens

David Jevans, CEO at CipherTrace, and the Chairman of Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG) ahead of the Delta Summit in Malta discussed security issues of ERC-20 token that widely use ICO projects. He thinks that everything is fine with ERC-20 security. “Problems arise when startups add own code. The point is that there are no good software tools to check smart contracts. But at the same time Ethereum network looks very worried about the possibility of hacking as there is enough computing power that ensures security.”
