Ripple Unleashes xRapid Transaction Solution
After the testing stage of the xRapid product from Ripple, three payment systems began its commercial use, according to the head of the blockchain project from San Francisco, Brad Garlinghouse. The international payment systems MercuryFX and Cuallix have already tested the new technology, and the Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union has become a new partner of Ripple.
MercuryFX specializes in international payments, Cuallix performs settlements between the United States and Mexico, and the Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union provides financial services to about 1,400 credit unions, mainly in the western and southwestern regions of the U.S. Ripple senior vice president Asheesh Birla added that other companies that previously tested xRapid, such as Western Union, Money Gram, Viamericas, and IDT, were not ready to start working with it at the moment.
EOS & Huobi Dismiss 'Voting Scandal' Suspicions
Huobi has prepared an official response to the allegations of collusion among EOS block producers. The platform claims that it does not have any financial contracts with partners regarding voting on EOS blocks. The exchange also notes that the investigation is ongoing, and it looks forward to the interaction of all stakeholders.
Block.one, the main developer of EOS blockchain, also released its statement regarding the current situation. However, there are no specifics in it either.
The CEO of Block.one Brendan Blumer simply talks about the importance of a free democratic vote and promises that the company will work on an optimal model for the decentralized management structure of the EOS blockchain.
Study: Mining GPUs Are Long Gone
Analytical company Jon Peddie Research (JPR) released the results of a study on the market for graphics adapters of the add-in board (AIB) type, which are better known as discrete graphics cards. The report covered accelerators for personal computers, servers, workstations, and some other devices.
“The second quarter is normally down from the previous quarter. This quarter it was down -22.1% from the last quarter. That is below the ten-year average of -9.2% which is very low when compared to the desktop PC market, which decreased -3.4% from the last quarter”, the report says.

- The blockchain company ConsenSys invested $6.5 million in the startup of the former top manager of R3 Tim Grant, DrumG. The general director and founder of ConsenSys, Joseph Lyubin, joined the board of directors of the project.
