Baidu Unleashes XuperChain Whitepaper

Baidu’s “XuperChain” will help to certify digital rights, settlements, debts, supply chains, digital assets, and games. The team of the Chinese search giant Baidu published a whitepaper v1.0. on an independent network system "XuperChain", where the commercialization of the Baidu’s blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) cloud blockchain platform is presented. In addition, the “Chinese Google” is planning to commercialize six XuperChain’s built-in applications: Totem, Degree Universe, Baidu Association, Treasure Chest, Encyclopedia Online, and Hubert.

Bitmain’s Staggering Growth as IPO Date Set

Bitmain is the world’s biggest cryptocurrency mining equipment manufacturer. Recently, the company submitted an Application Proof for IPO at the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. Most of the document is redacted; Bitmain’s fundraising goal is still unknown, however, growth numbers are quite interesting. In 2017 Bitmain had $2,5 billion in revenues, almost ten times more than 2016’s $278 million. For 2018, Bitmain already touched $2,8 billion in revenues. Profits also soared from $104 million in 2016 to $743 million this year.

Blockchain Spreads to Aviation Industry: Air France-KLM is Next

New technological solutions developed in the past years are making aviation to take the new heights. In the recent interview with Eyefortravel Iris Taguet, Head of Blockchain Program at AirFrance-KLM said that the airline is studying the possibilities of blockchain implementation in the air transportation industry. According to Iris Taguet, the first experiments were already held in late 2017. Prior to the official launch of the program, that will be soon presented during the conference in Amsterdam, Air France-KLM worked with the Boston Consulting Group to explore the potential of developing the technology.
