Chinese Сrypto Exchanges Threaten the Korean Market

Because of Beijing's stringent regulatory measures, many companies, including Zeniex, Gate.io and OK Coin, are moving their business to South Korea, where the authorities are more liberal towards cryptocurrencies. Chinese investment in Korea is growing, and experts are worried that the Korean cryptocurrency market will be totally controlled by the Chinese exchanges. Such events may require more stringent regulation by Seoul.

SEC Halts Allegedly Fraudulent ICO From Titanium Blockchain

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) obtained a court order to freeze the assets of Titanium Blockchain Infrastructure Services. The company is accused of defrauding investors and violating federal securities laws. According to the SEC, Titanium Blockchain Infrastructure Services raised $21 million from investors from the U.S. and other countries during the ICO. The president of the startup, Michael Stollaire, is accused of spreading false information: he repeatedly publicly announced the project's connections with the U.S. Federal Reserve System and dozens of well-known companies (including Boeing, Verizon, PayPal, The Walt Disney Company etc.), all of which turned out to be fabricated. The project’s website also contained false reviews of supposedly corporate clients.

Asus Introduced a Motherboard For 20 Graphics Cards

Asus has introduced a H370 Mining Master motherboard, designed specifically for cryptocurrency miners. The H370 Mining Master has banks of vertical PCIe-over-USB ports that let riser cables plug directly into the motherboard. The device is equipped with a system of indicators GPU State Detection, which allows you to monitor the status of each port. The new product will be presented to the public next week in Taiwan during the Computex 2018 event. According to Asus representatives, the motherboard will be available in the third quarter of this year. The price of the device is still unknown.

SK Telecom Will Develop Blockchain Platform

SK Telecom, South Korean telecommunications provider, published blockchain platform blueprint. It consists of three areas on which the company will focus after developing the technology. SK Telecom will use blockchain to create digital real-name authentication to simplify subscribing to customer service and personal authentication of services. The blockchain-based system will allow users to manage their financial and non-financial assets. Company also plans to start ‘Token Exchange Hub’ ecosystem to “create social value of the blockchain.”

Korea Center To Promote a Blockchain E-commerce Customs Platform

Korea Center, which operates Malltail, one of the biggest package forwarding services in the country, has concluded a Memorandum of Understating (MOU) with Korea Customs Service (KCS) to promote a blockchain-based e-commerce customs platform. In total eight organizations will participate in the pilot program, among them Matrix Tobi Co. Ltd., Nomad Connection Co. Ltd., and CJ Korea Express Co. Ltd. Korea Center was selected as a mandatory participant. The company will conduct business and technical verification for the development of a blockchain-based customs platform. It will be operated by KCS through seven Malltail distribution centers located in the US, Japan and Germany.
