The EOS Mainnet Susceptible "Series of Epic Vulnerabilities"

Qihoo 360, China’s largest internet security firm, has found bugs in the EOS mainnet. The Chinese internet security giant claims that the blockchain’s vulnerability can let attackers remotely run arbitrary code on network nodes, subsequently gaining full control over them. EOS representatives, already promised to delay the mainnet’s launch until the problem will be fully resolved. According to the statement, “the person in charge of the EOS network said that the EOS network will not be officially launched until these issues are fixed.” Following the announcement, EOS (EOS/USD) began tanking - the cryptocurrency was down 7.76% to $11.11 at 10:35 (GMT+1).

German Prosecutors Sell Millions Worth of Confiscated Crypto

Prosecutors in the German state of Bavaria completed the sale of confiscated cryptocurrencies worth $13.9 million. The currencies were seized from “Lesen und Lauschen”, an online platform which allegedly offered audiobooks and e-books illegally for unusually low prices, sometimes even as low as several cents.The sell-off involved 1312 Bitcoins (Bitcoin), 1399 Bitcoin Cash (EXANTE: Bitcoin.Cash), 1312 Bitcoin Gold, and 220 Ethereum (ETH/USD), and was the highest of its kind in German legal history.

Cardano 1.2 Released

Charles Hoskinson, CEO of Cardano, has announced the release of Cardano 1.2. Which includes new features and some bug fixes. Cardano mainnet has been updated on time and is now live. Following the announcement, Cardano (ADA) saw a price increase of 6,32% in the last 24 hours - it is trading at $0,193177 at 11:21 (GMT+1).

General Bytes Installs Ten New Bitcoin ATMs In Prague Subway

General Bytes, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency ATM manufacturers, installed ten new Bitcoin ATMs (BATM or BTM for short) throughout the Prague subway, raising the total number of ATMs in the country to 46.

Chen Weixing Plans to Launch Blockchain-Based ‘Uber’

Chen Weixing, CEO of app developer Funcity and founder of Chinese ride-hailing app Kuaidi Daiche, has announced his plans to launch a blockchain-based ride-sharing equivalent to Uber. The service will be developed in tandem with Yang Jun, co-founder of Chinese group discount app Meituan. The project’s final aim is to create a platform that offers lifestyle services encompassing ride-hailing, deliveries and others.
