The First Official ICO Will Be Held In Russia

Sberbank CIB, in partnership with the National Settlement Depository (NSD), intends to conduct their first official domestic initial coin offerings (ICO). The issuer will be the company Level One, which manages the largest commercial lecture in Moscow. According to their announcement, the firms intend to hold the ICO in a platform launched by the Central Bank. It involves a special regime of light regulation, in which innovative companies can test new technologies in a limited environment without the risk of violating legislation.

Pornhub Games to Hold Cryptocurrency Awards

Pornhub and Holofilm productions are casting six women to participate in the “first annual Pornhub Games”. Shooting procedure is scheduled for July 11-12 and 13, while the awards ceremony will be held on September 6th hosted by adult film director Asa Akira. Chaturbate and Vice Industry Token (VIT) are sponsoring the event, which will be offering prizes in VIT for the top three participants.

James Rodriguez to Launch Crypto Token

Colombian national team and Bayern Munich football player James Rodriguez announced his collaboration with blockchain platform SelfSell to launch his own cryptocurrency, the JR10 Token, on May 27. JR10 Token will be available for pre-purchase through SelfSell, making Rodriguez the first active international soccer player to enter the blockchain through his own cryptocurrency.

Shipchain Denies Violation of South Carolina Securities Laws

Blockchain based supply and logistics company ShipChain has asserted that the company’s tokens are not securities, and that they did not receive any evidence of illegal activity from the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. Earlier on Tuesday, the blockchain startup received a cease-and-desist order from state regulators, which accused the company of distributing investment contracts under the guise of digital tokens, which are the only means of exchange on its platform. ShipChain was also allegedly unregistered with the Attorney General’s Securities Division as a broker-dealer.

Singapore to Expand Regulation of Decentralized Exchanges

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) proposed to amend the existing rules and simplify the procedure for exchanging cryptocurrency. The current RMO regulatory framework is not able to meet demand for new business models.

Uphold Adds XRP Ledger

Uphold, a leading digital money platform, completed the integration of the XRP (XRP/USD) ledger into their system. The new feature will allow Uphold users to work with XRP wallet addresses and deposit, withdraw and send XRP to other wallets throughout the application. Robin O'Connell, Uphold’s CRO, said the integration was an "important milestone," adding that his company was the first in the US to provide easy access to XRP

Revolut Adds Ripple and Bitcoin Cash

Fintech startup Revolut added support for XRP and Bitcoin Cash to its mobile application - the currencies "were most popular among our community", the company explained in its blog. Since yesterday, Revolut users can acquire XRP and BCH in exchange for any of the 25 fiat currencies offered on the platform. Previously, the company only supported operations with Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum.
