Bloomberg and Novogratz’s Fund Launch Cryptocurrency Price Index

Bloomberg partnered with Mike Novogratz investment fund Galaxy Digital Capital Management LP to launch new Bloomberg Galaxy Crypto Index, under BGCI ticker. It is created to monitor market capitalization dynamics of the 10 most liquid digital currencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, Ripple, ZCash, Bitcoin Cash, EOS, Litecoin, Dash and Ethereum Classic. Billionaire is convinced that launching a new index is an important step for institutional investors to adopt a new asset class.

Parent Company Of The NYSE Can Start Trading Bitcoin

Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), shared plans to develop a cryptocurrency trading platform, New York Times reported. According to four sources which asked to remain anonymous, the trades will be set up as swaps, which “will end with the customer owning Bitcoin the next day”. This news has aired shortly after Goldman Sachs announced it will soon start trading bitcoin futures with its own money for its clients.

Winklevoss Brothers Receive Patent for Cryptocurrency Derivatives Service System

Winklevoss IP, owned by brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, has patented a transaction-executing mechanism for exchange products (ETPs) tied to cryptocurrency rates. The application was filed in December 2017, while the approved patent was made public on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s website this Tuesday. The new system can handle transactions with derivatives of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Dogecoin, as well as a number of less popular altcoins, such as BBQCoin.

Cryptocurrency Youtuber Launches First Bitcoin Funded Television Series

Cryptocurrency Youtuber and Investor, Jason Appleton, otherwise known on Youtube as Crypto Crow, is launching his own television series on CBS, CW and Roku. The show will reach over 47 million homes, and all the expenses are being covered by Bitcoin. The first season is scheduled to air in June, 2018.
