The move followsa complaint by the the local power grid operator’s report on abnormal electricity usage. An investigation found that the junction box of the suspected power user's electricity meter had been short-circuited - a typical way to avoid billing.

Nasdaq Open to becoming cryptocurrency Exchange. Nasdaq is open to launching a cryptocurrency exchange in the future one the regulatory environment matures. "Certainly Nasdaq would consider becoming a crypto exchange over time," Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman said. According to her, regulation needs to be ironed out before the company adds an exchange.

Winklevoss twins hire Nasdaq to monitor crypto market. Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange run by twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, announced today that it will be leveraging Nasdaq's SMARTS Market Surveillance technology to watch the marketplace. The technology, which is considered the most widely deployed surveillance system in the world, will enable Gemini to monitor across all of its trading pairs, including: BTC/USD, ETH/USD and BTC/ETH.

The fourth-largest cryptocurrency on the market had more than doubled its price over the past 10 days.
