Amazon Technology Inc., a subsidiary of e-commerce and cloud computing giant Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), has been granted a patent for streaming data service that could allow its subscribers to receive real-time cryptocurrency transactions data. According to the document filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the company has developed a technology for processing streaming data on a large scale with relatively low latency.
Brazil’s biggest investment firm to launch cryptocurrency exchange. A major investment company in Brazil, XP Investimentos, managing over $35 billion for over 500 000 active clients, is going to launch a cryptocurrency exchange. Over the past few months XP Investimentos has been working on a crypto coin strategy. It has also filed documents with the Department of Federal Revenues to register a new company — XDEX Intermediacao LTDA with a capital of $7,3 million.
Philippine boxer Pacquiao to launch his own cryptocurrency. Philippine boxing icon Manny Pacquiao will follow the lead of Floyd Mayweather and former England striker Michael Owen to launch his own cryptocurrency to connect with fans. The digital currency dubbed "PAC Token" will be launched later this year. The cryptocurrency will allow fans to buy the Filipino star's merchandise and interact with him via live-streaming.
