Most cryptocurrencies in the top 100 in the red. Bitcoin (TIKER: BTC.EXANTE) dropped below $8,000 on Thursday before recovering to roughly $8,200. The other digital coins aren’t doing much better. The cryptocurrency market has lost tens of billions in just a matter of days. The entire crypto market is facing increased scrutiny from all sorts of regulators around the world. Perhaps the worst news for Bitcoin and the crypto market came from Google on Wednesday. The company announced that starting June 2018, it will not allow ads for anything related to cryptocurrency.

Xiaomi launches blockchain pet game CryptoBunnies. Xiaomi, one of China’s biggest smartphone makers, has launched its own analogue of the popular game on the Ethereum (TIKER: ETH/USD.BITFINEX) blockсhain CryptoKitties. Dubbed Jiami Tu, (or CryptoBunnies), the service allows users with Xiaomi accounts to adopt digital rabbits with different designs and built-in scarcity on a blockchain system that stores the transactions for each adoption.

Coinfloor to offer physically settled Bitcoin futures contracts. London-based cryptocurrency exchange operator Coinfloor will launch a futures exchange for digital assets that will include the first physically delivered Bitcoin futures contracts next month. Coinfloor will offer its users Bitcoin futures contracts through a trading platform dubbed CoinfloorEX. The contracts are aimed at proprietary trading firms and sophisticated retail investors as well as cryptocurrency miners.

Billionaire Alan Howard invests big in cryptocurrencies. Alan Howard, billionaire and Brewan Howard Asset Management hedge fund co-founder, has invested heavily in cryptocurrencies last year and is planning to put more money in digital assets and blockchain technologies, Bloomberg quotes people with knowledge of the matter as saying. However, Brevan Howard does not trade cryptocurrencies. Although other partners at the hedge fund firm have independently made similar investments, but the investments are separate from the $9.1 billion hedge fund firm.
