Polygon, an Ethereum multi-chain solution, has delivered its software development kit (SDK) stack, empowering developers to build and deploy Ethereum-connected blockchains with all the necessary tools for seamless dApp creation.

Polygon’s Tool Transforms Ethereum Into Full-Fledged Multi-Chain Ecosystem

Polygon, a platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development, has launched its software development kit (SDK) stack. The Polygon SDK stack is a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications.

With the introduction of the SDK, Polygon marks the official beginning of Ethereum’s transition into a multi-chain ecosystem, also referred to as the "Ethereum’s Internet of blockchains." The SDK includes several installation packages, plug-and-play modules like TxPool, JSON RPC and gRPC, and tools alongside custom-made solutions for consensus and synchronization.

The SDK stack effectively transforms Ethereum into a full-fledged multi-chain system by providing the underlying framework to help the blockchain evolve. Ethereum is currently the most extensive multi-chain system, thanks to its potential to host multitudes of chains, including 150+ EVM networks and hundreds of enterprise chains.

Although the framework is quite similar to other notable multi-chain systems, such as Polkadot, Avalanche and Cosmos, Polygon offers three unique advantages that have the potential to give these multi-chains a run for their money.

For instance, the SDK stack is a part of the Ethereum ecosystem, allowing developers to leverage the available upsides of the world’s largest multi-chain, such as unparalleled security, scalability and interoperability.

On the other hand, multi-chain projects like Cosmos and Polkadot build ecosystems from scratch and primarily focus on constructing bridges to and from Ethereum. Besides, Polygon is more open and robust when it comes to supporting different types of architectures.

Polygon SDK was built with a high standard of connectivity and extensibility while maintaining the core layers as efficiently as possible, allowing developers to deploy extensions as and when needed quickly.

The initiative’s scalable network is fully compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing it to process transactions more rapidly and cost-effectively than the Ethereum mainnet.

Since its launch, Polygon has attracted capital from some of the most prominent VC firms and angel investors. Adding to its cache and credibility, American billionaire and owner of Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, recently invested an "undisclosed" amount in the project.
